work with me…
We all know that managing stress is vital for our wellbeing. But we also live in the real world, with its constant demands on our time and energy. This workshop explores effective ways to handle lesser-known stressors that sneak up on us and corrode our sense of wellbeing. We’ll explore ways to parent yourself with compassion and direction.
Do you know you have an internal alarm system, and how to make it work for you? Are you suffering ‘comparison-itis’, unaware of the toll it’s taking on you? We will delve into the core elements that drive our behaviour, and the intentions behind them. We will move from a position of (unwitting) self-sabotage, to transformative self-awareness.
‘Ego’ is a loaded word—but understanding what it is and the role it plays is key to tapping into our full potential. In this workshop, we will look at Emotional Intelligence: what it is, and how to ensure it is helping us, not hindering us. Do you know that your thoughts form the soundtrack to your life? They seem to be in the background, but really, they’re playing out, underscoring messages and adding their own influence in ways we don’t always discern. But rather than let our thoughts simmer away in the background, we can choose ones that serve us.
Are you a caring person? Most of us would answer without hesitation. But are you confident in the power to share your caring nature? Do you see the benefits of revealing your stories? Do you feel bad things keep happening to you, but you’re unsure how to stop that pattern in its tracks? Here, we delve into three pairs of core human characteristics, and how they can work in tandem to either undermine us or propel us to more fulfilling lives. Are you harnessing your voice for your purpose, and for your greater good?
Imagine that you have access to a library that stocks one million books. Would you keep borrowing the same title again and again, and ignore the rest? That is exactly what we do when we choose the same reactions to events and relationships in our lives. The same book, the same page, the same result.
When we do this, we are limited by our own thinking. We have an entire world of possibilities to choose from. We can either go down the same path (buying into patterns, knowing how the story plays out) or we can opt for a different ending with far better outcome.
Everything in life seems to come with an instruction manual: except our minds—which we use 24/7! This workshop is about peeling back our triggers to uncover powerful insights. When we feel confident at our core, it gently and powerfully changes how we show ourselves to the world. We’re not putting on confidence like an overcoat; it becomes part of us at a cellular level. Minute by minute, we make a series of conscious and unconscious choices. Here, we tap into Mindfulness—with all the benefits and insights it has to offer.
Picture yourself going about your day. Now add a movie camera: Imagine you’re a director, observing yourself as you go about your routine. Would you notice opportunities to behave differently, speak differently, or to interact with others? When we step back to observe ourselves through a different lens, we gain tremendous insight as to how we engage in the world. We shift from habitually ‘going through the motions’ to be mindful of our emotions and our thoughts, and how they inform our choices. Calming our senses makes us happier, and more grounded—and in turn, less judgemental.
Right here. Right now. This present moment is packed with potential to change how you see yourself, your day, and your life. We can play the same record over and over, or we can choose a new thought. We can speak a new word. We can act in a different way that truly honours who we are. When we tune into our state of being, we’re gently but powerfully tweaking how we see the world, and our place in it. Perhaps you find yourself caught in the past, revisiting old conversations, or continuing to wear outdated labels that no longer serve you. You are an evolving work of art. You can decide how to move forward from this moment.
