Reclaiming who you are means unlearning who you never were.
Between the ages of two and seven — our so called formative years — we absorb up to 90% of the beliefs that shape how we see ourselves and the world. It happens quietly. Instinctively. Often with love and good intentions.
But what we absorb, is not always our truth.
A casual comment. A raised eyebrow. A silence that said more than words. These things settle into us. Maybe it was “You’re not the academic one,” or “Money doesn’t grow on trees,” or “Be a good girl and don’t speak up.” We take these messages in before we even know how to challenge them — and then we carry them for decades like facts.
But they are not facts. They are someone else’s stories. And we don’t have to live by them anymore.
We work with people to identify and release these false beliefs, not by blaming or shaming the past, but by honouring it — and choosing to step into something new. It’s powerful work. Emotional. Sometimes raw. But freeing.
You are allowed to outgrow what once felt like your truth.
You are allowed to meet yourself again, without the weight of someone else’s narrative.
It’s never too late to remember who you really are.
